ACCOMODATIONS

The Course Secretariat offers to the COURSE PARTICIPANTS a selection of Hotels (B&B, 3 and 4 stars category) located in the city centre and just a few minutes distant by feet to the Course Venue.

Hotel Booking will be made directly by the Course Secretariat upon requests made on the online registration form until MAY 15th, 2015.

After MAY 15th, 2015 bookings shall be made only directly to Hotels (see the complete list here and select "Ferrara" in the localities).

SPECIAL RATES reserved for PARTICIPANTS shown are per room, per night and they include breakfast and taxes (VAT 10%). Extras are excluded.

Therefore, registration to the Course is required prior to the hotel booking.

Hotel payment is the responsibility of participants and shall be made directly to the hotel upon departure.

Reservations will only be confirmed if credit card details are fully supplied in the ONLINE REGISTRATION FORM as a guarantee of the hotel booking.

Each participant will receive an individual confirmation letter, indicating the name and the address of the Hotel shortly before the date of the Course.

The deadline for the hotel booking is MAY 15th, 2015. Cancellations until that date must be communicated to the Course Segretariat. After MAY 15th, 2015, charges and cancellation must be communicated directly to the hotel.

HOTELS CANCELLATION POLICIES

Typically, one night will be charged if a cancellation is communicated later than 3-4 days prior to the arrival date. We strongly raccommend cancelling your reservation al least one week before your arrival date to avoid cancellation charges! The Course Secretariat is not responsable for the accommodation cancellation policy applied by the hotels in case of late cancellation or no show.

COURSE VENUE

The course will take place at IUSS FERRARA - University Institute for Higher Studies, Italy, Via delle Scienze 41/B - 44121 Ferrara, Italy.

The City of Ferrara lies ~50 km to the north of Bologna in Emilia–Romagna. The city has wide streets and numerous ‘palazzi’ built in the 14th and 15th century. Much of the city is pedestrianized and bicycles are ubiquitous. Sometimes referred to as ‘Italy’s best-kept secret‘ the city has been rated as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO on account of its architectural elegance and cultural significance. The University of Ferrara was founded in 1391.

Bus n. 2 connects the railway station with the Institute (step down at "Piazza Verdi" stop).
